Peter Simon Mühlhäußer was born in Bad Boll, Germany, in 1982; he lives and works in southern Germany.
Mühlhäußer’s formal art training began in 2004 when he studied as a stonemason at the school for stonemasons and sculptors Johannes Steinhäuser in Lasa Italy until 2007. In 2009 he received his Masters of Fine Art from the New York Academy of Art. At the NYAA, he graduated cum laude and was awarded a fellowship in 2009/10. He then earned a position at as an adjunct professor of sculpture at the Lyme Academy of Fine Art.
Mühlhäußer has exhibited internationally and his works are held in numerous collections worldwide. In 2013 he participated in the collective show “Personal Structures” as part of the 55th Venice Biennale.
